Austrian Roman Shades – Calabasas, Malibu, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks
Austrian Roman Shades come in a wide variety of fabrics and feature a fabric covered, board mount with a scalloped bottom.
Austrian Roman Shades are always made with a sheer and softer textile. And, Austrian Roman Shades can be mounted with interior or exterior brackets. Austrian Roman Shades feature a weight bar in the bottom of the shade that keep them hanging perfectly.
The fullness of our Austrian Roman Shades is 1-½x in the width, and 3x in the length. Of course, the number of scallops at the bottom will be determined by the width of the shade.
Flat Roman Shades – Calabasas, Malibu, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks
Flat Roman Shades come in a wide variety of fabrics and feature a fabric covered, board mount with a straight edge on the bottom.
Flat roman shades are the best choice to highlight beautiful patterns on fabric. Traditional Flat Roman Shades are also suitable for heavier window shade fabrics. Heavier fabrics are preferable for flat roman shades because stiff textiles retain the folds better.
Sheer or soft fabrics – and/or room darkening linings – are not recommended for flat roman shades.
Flat roman shades can also be embellished with trims, banding and coordinating valances.
Back Slat Roman Shades – Calabasas, Malibu, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks
Back slat roman shades come in a wide variety of fabrics and feature a fabric covered, board mount with a straight edge on the bottom. Back slat roman shades feature a weight bar in the bottom of the shade that keeps the shades fabric hanging smoothly.
Back slat roman shades can be lined or unlined, depending on your window treatment needs.
Back slat roman shades can be mounted with an inside or out side bracket. When the Back slat roman shades are mounted using an outside bracket, fabric is wrapped around the ends of the board or head rail to form a matching return for the shades.
Back slat roman shades operate more smoothly than flat roman shades and require less “dressing” of the folds in the fabric of the shades than traditional flat shades.
Stitching in the fabric is also less visible on the front of back slat roman shades, than on traditional flat roman shades.
Back slat roman shades can be upgraded to include: decorative trim or banding, a Velcro board mount, or a flat valance for front-mounted back slat shades.
Front Slat Roman Shades – Calabasas, Malibu, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks
Front slat roman shades come in a wide variety of fabrics and feature a fabric covered, board mount or head rail mount, with a straight edge on the bottom.
Front slat roman shades operate more smoothly than traditional flat roman shades. And, considerably less “dressing” of the fabric’s folds is required with front slat roman shades.
Stitching on the fabric of front slat roman shades is also less visible than the stitching on traditional flat roman shades.
Many of our clients choose to upgrade their front slat roman shades with decorative trim and/or banding. Adding a matching valance is also a popular way to add a finished look to windows featuring front slat roman shade (as shown in the above photograph).
Hobbled Roman Shades- Calabasas, Malibu, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks
Hobbled roman shades are available in a variety of fabrics – from casual to elegant. These types of roman shades are easy to maintain, as they require minimal dressing of the fabric folds.
Hobbled roman shades feature board mounted construction with approximately 5” spacing between folds – and two times the fullness in length.
Hobbled roman shades are popular among interior designers when paired with a coordinating front valance to match or compliment the shade.
Waterfall Roman Shades- Calabasas, Malibu, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks
Waterfall roman shades can be constructed from a wide choice of a fabric. Waterfall roman shades may be board mounted (featuring a roller clutch system) or a head rail mount shade with Velcro.
Waterfall roman shades are typically exterior (outside) mounted, with fabric that wraps around the end of the board to form returns on the shade.
Waterfall roman shades feature approximately 7″ folds, and 7” spacing between folds. Waterfall roman shades require minimal dressing of the folds, with two times fullness in length. The lining of waterfall roman shades are constructed separately.
Flat valances on front mounted waterfall roman shades are one of many enhancements that can be added to your waterfall roman shades to created a finished look for your window treatment.
