Relaxed Roman Shades – Ventura County
The number of “scallops” or “dips” in relaxed roman shades is determined by shade’s width. Relaxed roman shades feature a sloped center design and are available in a virtually unlimited array of fabrics, color, patterns and textures.
Relaxed roman shades feature two types of “shade bottom”: “Flat Bottom” and “Permanent Full”. Flat bottoms lie straight across the sill when the shade is completely lowered, while Permanent Fullness roman shades add an extra 30” so that the shade still remains “full” (i.e. sloped or curved) when fully lowered to the sill.
Waterfall Roman Shades- Ventura County
Waterfall roman shades are constructed of approximately 7″ folds, with a 7” space between folds. The lining of waterfall roman shades are typically constructed separately. Waterfall roman shades are typically either board mounted (utilizing a roller clutch system) or a head rail mounted using Velcro. The fabric wraps around the end of a board at the bottom to form a weighted return shade.
Butterfly Roman Shades – Ventura County
Butterfly roman shades feature “half pleats” -with fabric “tails” between the scallops of the shade. The number of scallops or dips a butterfly shade has will be determined by the window’s width. The fabric tails add a delicate, whimsical touch making them the perfect choice for a girl’s bedroom or fancy bath.
Butterfly roman shades are versatile in that they can be mounted either inside or outside the window frame. Like relaxed roman shades, butterfly roman shades come in two types of “shade bottom”: Flat Bottom & Permanent Fullness.
Shirred Balloon Shades – Ventura County
Shirred balloon shades are a popular choice in Ventura County kitchens. Ranging from casual, to country to “beachy” – depending on fabric choice – shirred balloon shades gather on each individual scallops to create a “balloon” effect.
Typically shirred balloon shades are constructed of a more sheer and softer fabric, allowing them to gather without creasing or folding. Shirred shades look lovely in floral, plaid or chintz fabrics – adding fun and flair to a kitchen or bath!
Box Pleat Roman Shades – Ventura County
Box pleated roman shades are similar to – but more structured than – shirred roman shades. This makes them ideal for almost any type of decor from elegant to casual, and from fancy to more masculine. Box pleated roman shades are available in a wide variety of fabrics, patterns and colors, and are available lined or unlined.
